Japan-glish
Almost Lost in Translation
So there is a surprising amount of English used in Japan. And we’re not referring to signage to help visitors (thank you very much by the way – much appreciated!) But names of stores and slogans actually use lots of English lettering and words. I understand English carries a bit of ‘western cool’ in Japanese urban society. The following photos don’t show those examples. What we captured are those times when the English wasn’t quite captured correctly making for some cute and humorous messages. And disclaimer here: I KNOW we have been butchering the  language in our meagre attempts at Japanese. So no judgement here whatsoever!
